CONCEPCION CAY Site of Avid Boaters, Fishermen, Divers
Concepcion Cay, as seen on the map, is just off the coast of Rum Cay. It is an out-of-the-way place, mostly of interest to boaters, divers, and fishermen. It was allegedly one of the stops of Christopher Colombus, on one of his voyages in the area. It is sometimes confused with Rum Cay, which was called by Christopher Colombus, "Santa Maria de la Concepcion".
