BIMINI DIVING
DIVING + SNORKELING BIMINI
Although only 50 miles from the U.S. mainland, its clear Gulf Stream-fed waters are filled with an incredible diversity of life, and its underwater terrain is as dramatic and varied as any dive destination in the world.
Divers have dozens of spectacular sites to choose from just minutes from the resort. There are wrecks as shallow as 20 feet and as deep as 100 feet. Drift dives range from 50 to 130 feet. There is the "Lost City of Atlantis," site of the famous Atlantis Stones. The famed Bimini Wall, less than a quarter mile offshore, drops from 145 feet to over 3,000 feet in only a few yards.
Snorkelers can explore the wreck of the Sapona resting just below the surface, or meander through the vast reef system that surrounds the island and stretches for over 10 miles from the southern shore to Cat Island.
Some dive destinations excel in one area or another, but few draw such rave reviews across the board. In its annual “Top 100” survey, Rodale’s SCUBA Diving magazine (Jan/Feb, 2002) consistently ranks Bimini in the leading five destinations in the entire Caribbean/Atlantic region.
• BEST Fish Life Bimini Bahamas #2
• BEST Visibility Bimini Bahamas #2
• BEST Place to Dive with Big Animals Bimini Bahamas #3
• BEST Value Bimini Bahamas #4
• BEST Wreck Diving Bimini Bahamas #5

Those fortunate enough to have discovered Bimini’s outstanding diving have also encountered one of the best operators in the business, Keefe’s Bimini Undersea the undisputed local experts. After more than 20 years of introducing divers to their favorite sites, Bill and Nowdla Keefe and their professional team offer an unbeatable experience. Their dive shop is a full-service facility located right on the resort grounds.
